Hello from quarantine in Honduras

Got back from our first week of mission, happy, exhausted and slightly alarmed to hear the news of the rapid rise in cases of the virus. Thankfully the team was able to make it back to the states safely, but our next two missions this month have been canceled.

Our Missioners' House in Comayagua, Honduras is currently on a 2 week self quarantine because our potential contact of COVID-19, Therefore we are doing a deep cleaning of the house, catching up on work, auto formation, prayer, and getting to know each other...more.

As of right now, there are no confirmed cases in Comayagua but we are trying to reduce chances of contact/spreading/etc. Honduras closed its borders and shut down airports for a month. They are in the process of shutting down the different departments of Honduras to reduce the spread. We might be stuck here, but things are well ❤️ We have each other, a chapel, the Blessed Sacrament and the humbling privilege of daily Mass with the Friars 🙏🏼

I wanted to share what we (The Missioners of Christ) posted on our Instagram Page:

For all who are affected by the virus, even those who are unable to make it to Mass/Adoration, trust that we are keeping you in our prayers before Our Lord. We are the salt of the earth and light of the world. Let’s stand together united to light up the world with prayer, always keeping in mind that all things work together for good for those who love God. (Rom 8:28) God can use all difficulty and suffering for the conversion of sinners and sanctification of souls if we only turn to Him - Let’s make this count! 💪🏻

Blog coming tomorrow on how the mission went with all the photos! Thank you so much for all your prayers and kind words. This past mission was one of the hardest emotionally that I have done but absolutely beautiful.
